Transmission Repair Costs
Before entrusting your vehicle to just any transmission shop, there’s one burning question that echoes in every car owner’s mind: “How much will it cost?”
But why is this question so prevalent? Perhaps it’s because of the horror stories circulating about shops that play the ‘RDI’ game (Remove, Disassemble, Inspect), tearing apart your car without warning, only to hit you with a hefty bill for repairs you never anticipated.
This underhanded tactic aims to lure customers in with deceptively low initial quotes, only to reveal hidden costs once your car is in pieces – leaving you with no choice but to dig deeper into your wallet. It’s a tactic that sets our gears grinding.
At California Transmissions, we refuse to play those games. We don’t dismantle your vehicle without your say-so, nor do we lowball our quotes just to get you through the door. We believe in treating your car as if it were our own and building lasting relationships with our customers.
So, back to the burning question: “What’s the damage?”
Your vehicle’s transmission is its beating heart, and no two transmission issues are alike. In fact, in the world of auto repairs, 1 out every 2 transmissions are overhauled or replaced unnecessarily. We firmly believe that the most expensive transmission repair is the one you never needed in the first place.
With over 30 years of experience and over 1000 transmissions serviced each year, we at California Transmissions have seen it all. Our expertise isn’t just a claim – it’s a proven track record. When it comes to transmissions, we’re not just another shop; we’re transmission specialists.
“In about 50% of cases where customers come in fearing the worst – a complete transmission overhaul or replacement costing thousands – we’ve managed to solve the issue for less than a car payment. The secret? Accurate diagnosis. Surprisingly, many times it’s not even a transmission problem!
